I love to conjure images with light, paint, motion, words; you name it. But I'm no gadabout flitting from flower to flower.  I take everything I do very seriously, especially my commitment to telling people's stories and delivering the complexities of the human experience to the public with insight and compassion. 

I began taking photographs at an early age, and worked as a community organizer in my early twenties. In 2008 I earned my Masters Degree from UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism, focusing on documentary film. After graduation, I spent six years as the video producer for the California Nurses Association/National Nurses United, churning out everything from promo videos to interviews to educational films to photos and more, to serve same-day online and social media needs as well as content for conventions and classes. With CNA's RN Response Network, I acted as both creator and coordinator, escorting nurses to Haiti, the Philippines, and to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to cover unfolding tragedy as well as recovery and healing  

Yes, I'm a doer, the kind of doer you just might need. I enjoy a fast-paced environment, be it newsroom, run and gun, or quick copy. I'm a great solution to fill in for your skilled professionals on leave until they return, and an excellent hire when you need an intelligent multi-tasker to assist you in problem-solving. I make a point of meeting with clients in advance to facilitate smooth communication to effectively fulfill project expectations.

Have skills will travel. Well-versed in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Motion Graphics, and After Effects. Proficient on a variety of video, DSLR and mirrorless cameras. Long and short-form writing experience a-plenty.
